Bobby Maze

Bobby Maze played collegiate basketball from 2006-2010. He started his career at Oklahoma then went on to play for Hutchinson Community College and played his junior and senior for the University of Tennessee from 2008-2010. He played the guard position and is recognized for leading the Tennessee Volunteers to the Elite 8 in the 2010 NCAA Tournament. During his senior year at UT, he had numerous accomplishments: he was UT’s top scorer three times, led the Vols in assists a team-best of 15 times, scored in double figures 19 times on the year, appeared on the 2010 Bob Cousy Award watch list, and was named SEC Player of the Week. During his junior year, he ranked second in the SEC in assist-to-turnover ratio, led the Vols in assists 12 times, shot 43% from the floor, and dished out a career-high 11 assists in the season-opener which set a school record for Tennessee with 32 total assists in the game. After his decorated collegiate career as a Volunteer, Maze went on to play internationally from 2011-2013 with the BC Tsmoki-Minsk and Keravnos Strovolou. He gained much notoriety through his international career and garnered success. 






After Maze finished playing professional basketball overseas, he returned to Knoxville in hopes to develop a program that could positively impact the community through basketball and athletics. He achieved this by creating B.MAZE Elite: Basketball. Maze is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of B.Maze Elite and he is also the Vice President of Athletic Relations of Athletic Standard. Founded in 2015, B.MAZE Elite is an accomplished basketball club and AAU program consisting of AAU basketball teams ranging from 8U to 17U. It is Tennessee’s only official UAA Boys and Girls Member basketball program. Maze’s travel teams are top nationally ranked programs in the country. This organization also hosts skill development camps. The goal of this program is to  prepareathletes for collegiate basketball and adulthood. Maze hopes to bring more exposure to basketball players in the Knoxville area along with positively impacting the community by garnering scholarships with IMG Academy, Southern California Academy, and Knoxville Catholic High School. There are many notable alumni of the B.Maze Elite basketball program such as Jaden Spring (Tennessee), Zac Ervin (Elon), Devan Cambridge (Auburn), and Quez Glover (Florida). Maze spends his time nowadays coaching and mentoring the next generation of great collegiate basketball players and he has impacted Knoxville tremendously. He has truly made a difference in the lives of young athletes.
